This site can be a lot of fun. Check out the link of what clubsi did to these poor people.

Huh, I asked her if there was any way I could convert figure skates into roller skates and she gave me an image search of ice skates and asked if they helped.

I asked for a whole bunch of links to pictures of rubber chickens. Here's one of the sites she sent me...

http://www.geocities.com/beezer542/3rbrchcn.htm

Pretty cool. Ultimately useless, but fun.

It's definitely not useless if you check out the clubsi link, that gave me half an hour of entertainment....

They are useful in some cases. I actually used their service to help me find some stuff relating to my research but that was only once.

see, if I was one, then I would think the same thing.

These uptight guides can go suck an egg.

BTW, just how do you go about searching anyway? What do you do different that a regular person is so incapable of doing?

well the way they have it setup, the guides categorize searches that they do so that next time they can easilly retrieve the relevant information. its just a human touch on google's method pretty much.

i'm not gonna lie, i use google ALOT, but i find the exact little tidbit of information they're looking for and then highlight it so they dont have to sift through whatever page it is. some guides dont do that, but whatever.

essentially, we do the work for you, and some of us are actually pretty good at findin shit on the web anyways...so why not get paid for it?

I first thought ChaCha might just be a joke. But seems as far as searching goes it is hit-or-miss. Last night I was testing out some of the guides on a subject I had been doing some in-depth research for months on. Suprisingly I got one guide who was pretty knowledgeable with the idea of Linear Synchronous Motors and was helping me find some control methods as well as offering his own insight. I would have enjoyed talking with him more, but my computer crashed, and I couldn't seem to find him again.

How is the guide selection done? If I could find this guy again, it would be great.
