At least this time we don't have finals bearing down on us.

yes/no. My internet has been on and off all day. Also, power to basically half my house has gone out twice in the last two days, but thats from us overloading the circut breaker.

TJ's Power has been fine, no flickers, but you should see the outage map for Saint Louis:

Some 120,000 customers out.

Wow, they got hit way worse back at home. I was preparing for some sort of disaster here.

Well it's not quite over yet. There's still at least one more wave coming.

Yep, my folks' power has been out since 1:00 today and my aunt's since midnight last night (O'Fallon and St. Charles, respectively).

Anyone see the tree damage around town/campus? It's ridiculous - a limb about 6 inches in diameter was about a foot away from taking out the windshield of our car. Also, what happened to the streetlight on University drive? Looks like someone took it out with a car but there don't seem to be any tire tracks.

Tree limb hit my car last night. Dented the rear quarter panel and broke my rear window. That's about a $1200 mistake.

And just last night, we were talking about getting full coverage on the car. Would've been like $60/6 months more.

Dammit.

Bummer, man.

The car that parked in my spot just got a limb in its side. Lucky I left for work right after the power went out.

BTW, how long was the power out on the north side of 44?

From what I heard, as in, a rumour, the light post on university drive got hit by a drunk in a truck on friday night, and I also heard (rumour) that it took out one of his tires and he was driving around with 3 wheels till the cops got him.

But who really knows, it was what I heard.
