I'm considering parting with my watercooling setup. The waterblock is a danger den TDX with tops for socket A/462, 754, 940, 939 and AM2. The radiator is a newly-bought heatercore designed to work with a 1977 pontiac bonneville (designed to use two 120mm fans), and the pump is 11.7gpm capacity (would come submerged in a reservoir). The whole setup has fit in both cases in which I've had it installed--I would provide installation advice to anyone interested.

The setup sold all together is probably worth about $130. Heat rejection capacity of the unit with the two 120mm fans running on 12V is likely in the 150W range, more than enough to handle the CPU as well as a couple of video cards and/or a northbridge.

Top of the case, from the side: Supply and return for water into the rad are on the right.


Bottom right of the case, below the hard drives: view submerged pump and reservoir. The res is watertight save for the 1/4" hole in the top for the AC power cord. Looks like the res is a touch dusty--water is not really discolored.


Waterblock. Line on the right comes from pump, line comes out towards left and travels up outside the case to the res.


From front of the case, you can see the supply and return for res. Silicone is there for insurance against leaks.

There is no way I would trust a 30 year old heater core around sensitive, expensive electronics. I've been working on cars a while...do you know how prone those are to being rusted out? ESPECIALLY if you pulled it from a used vehicle. There is no way for you to tell the condition of the metal on the inside.

I would assume he bought it new, lots of Watercoolers do it. At least I hope he did.

Laff. I bought it at O'Reillys, it's a Fedco part. It's been in service in this computer a little over a year and a half.

Well then it's not "out of" a 1977 Bonneville. It's FOR a 1977 Bonneville. Fix your wording.

Can i use it with my laptop?

For anyone interested, I would consider sending the case and fans with it for the right price. Hell, even the motherboard and processor the setup is guaranteed to be fully functional with "out of the box" could be for sale, too.
