Dont know if this is the right section but I recently bought a wiikey and tries to install it myself but ran into some difficulties. One of the solder pads on the wii came off and I was wondering if anyone could reapply a pad or whatever and install the modchip. I would be willing to pay for your services.

lol, yeah that seems to be pretty common.

It happened when Lostboyz and I did it this last weekend.

Were you able to fix it and install the modchip? My wii is still working but i dont think i would be able to solder that point on.

I got the wires to hold but I just don't trust it to last. Eventually it'll break loose, it's just a matter of time.

So I'll be selling mine to a friend who's not interested in that stuff and I'll just get another one with full contact points. The only reason it even happened is because we ran out of 30 gauge wire and used wire that was much to stiff and big to work.

I tried to force it to work and the point got lifted, which isn't too uncommon with the wii's.

i will take a look at it, cant make guarantees, would only charge you if i fix it. but i can guarantee you i wont mess it up any more then it is.
