Explore Onondaga Cave

Come explore Onondaga Cave with OAR April 28. Look at the tall stalagmites, dripping stalactites, and natural flowstone within this natural beauty. The cost is $5 for your ticket. Transportation and lunch is provided. Sign up starts April 16 and ends April 27. The bus will be leaving from the Havener Center parking lot promptly at 9:30 AM. Pay your $5 and get your name on the list by contacting Tina Malchert in office 233 of Student Life. Any questions? Email nab882@umr.edu.

I went there when I was a little, back then, the whole thing was wheelchair accessible, so there aren't even stairs that you need to climb. The electrically lighted part sounds new, because we carried flashlights.

i'm sorry, but a cave's not a cave unless you have to wear a hard hat and when you come out you're covered head to toe in mud.

my enjoyment of caves started long before i decided on geology, but that just complements it now i suppose

No stairs? Wheelchair accessible? Sounds like all the "Explore" has been done already there.

What's the UMR club that does this a ton? Shouldn't they be hosting one of these, not SUB with a tourist trap?

What about us Mining Engineers? We do our fair share of exploration, and we usually end up dirtier at the end of the day than geologists.
But the trip to the cave should be a lot of fun. You should buy your tickets now and go.
