I need just a basic computer that can run Windows 98. I already have keyboard, mouse, and monitor, so I would only need the basics. My mom plans to use it for dial up service so nothing fancy.

I have an old 250MHz and am willing to let it go. It has got 4 GB Hard Disk, 1 modem, 2 NIC and 2 CD Drives. Not sure about the memory but its running Windows 2000 right now. Interested? How much would you pay for this one?

Be warned, some computers that have hardware that old are no longer compatible even with dial-up. I'm not sure why, but my future sister-in-law ran into problems when she tried to get internet on an old machine like that.
I didn't get very many details, you can guess why.

Hardware too slow to do anything? Install linux. Instead of no-longer supported windows 98, with Linux you get all the new updates, and it still can work on old hardware.

I don't think Linux is a good idea. I just need something powerful enough to run Windows 98. I might just put XP on it, still thinking about it. She's also unsure of what she wants, so whenever she makes up her mind about what she wants, I'll let everyone know.
