I have two servers for sale.

HP 3U: $150

6 x 700 MHz Xeons
3+ GB RAM
4 x 17 GB Hard drives
RAID 0 or 5, Ultra SCSI
3 x 300 Watt PSUs (1 redundant)

Compaq 6U: $50

2 x 1 GHz Xeons
1+ GB RAM
RAID 0 or 5, Ultra SCSI
3 x 300 Watt PSUs (1 redundant)

The HP is running Debian Etch at r27rtdmr6.desktop.umr.edu. You can ssh to port 77 and http to 7777 if you don't believe it exists. You can log on with the guest account.

The Compaq works but has nothing installed (no hard drives). I have booted a few live CDs on it.

Come by TJ 766 if you want to see them. Looking to sell towards the end of the semester. Make an offer to rtdmr6@umr.edu

[EDIT] HP is actually 3U

Both servers are quite large. I am away from Rolla for the weekend, but here are approximate measurements:

Compaq ProLiant 6U
height: 6U = 10.5 inches
width: 19 inches
depth: about 30 inches

HP 3U
height: 3U = 5.25
width: 19 inches
depth: about 30 inches

In my original post I said the HP was 4U, but I think it is actually 3U. This means 3 Rack Units, where 1U = 1.75 inches.

I just sold the HP. Compaq is still up for grabs to whomever picks it up first.
