Okay, my girlfriend is coming to visit me in a few weeks and I want to take her out to a nice place for dinner. Where are there some nice, sit-down restaurants in Rolla?

If you like sushi Kyoto, or Wasabi are good places to eat. They are more pricey than Applebee's but tastier.

There really aren't that many decent places to go. Fortune Inn's not bad, if you like Chinese food.

One place not to go: Sirloin Stockade. The trashiest $10 buffet in Missouri, I'm guessing.

Matt's Steakhouse is a nice place. It is past pleasure zone, if you know where that is. Just take I-44 to exit 189, and go left off the ramp. The road curves around, with an intersection in the middle of the curve, but stay on the curve. It is probably about a mile from there, towards St. James.

True that, but be sure to make reservations. Last time I tried to eat there, we called ahead and they straight up told us that we couldn't eat there because there were already so many reservations.

I like Zenos and its on the outer road over by Waffle House.

Guess I should elaborate on what Zenos is: it is a steakhouse combined with a hotel but you don't have to be renting a room to eat there. They have all kinds of leet dishes and stuff and it really isn't too bad of a price.

I have only been there once, but when they were 10th St Dinnerhouse, the service was rarely decent, and the chances of the food being good was only about 50/50. But, they have BITCHIN breadsticks... that is unless you get the bitch waitress that I always got. Unless you are geriatric, you won't get decent service from her....

Mandarin Garden is a decent Chinese buffet place.

Take it from a townie, Matt's Steakhouse is the best place anywhere near to take your girl. but be willing to pay. Another good place is Jonny's Smoke Stack (or the former Jonny's Smoke Stack). Its about a quarter mile off of 63 on Hwy 72. Its a good place and cheeper than Matt's. But whatever you do don't go to Sirloin Stockade. I'll eat there if someone is treating because hey, i'm a college student. but i'll never for my self and absolutly never for a date.
There are some cool casual places if you are wanting a laid back kind of date. There is the Ally Cats, Alexes (of corse), Made Right, Slice of Pie. Wasabii and Kioto are good too.

Anyways have fun man

Oh and another way to get to Matt's is to go out on 10th street all the way to the country club (about 6-7 miles from campus). Take a left onto Cuntry Club Road. Go for a wihle on that road and you'll go over a rail road, keep on going all the way untill T's off. Take a lright and Matt's is just righ there.

Or go I-44 East to the Hwy V-Exit, Take a right off the exit, stay on that road (it will curve a little) and it will be bout a mile/mile and a half down that road.

Matt's Steakhouse has always been a good experience for me. If you're willing to spring for dessert get their cheese cake. OMG delicious. Plus they have coconut shrimp.
If you would rather get something a little less classy go to Rolla Smokehouse. Their garlic bread and BBQ beans are worth it by themselves and the rest of the food is great too.

I went to the steakhouse over on Highway 72 with my parents last weekend, it was very good, good service, and fairly cheap.

How much is Matt's Steakhouse? When we tried to stop by everyone walking in had on a suit and tie and we got scared off (not least due to the fact that we were wearing shorts and T-shirts...
