So I'm driving past TJ on my way to Taco Bell. Cop whips in behind me, running silent lights, then turns into the TJ back lot. Another cop from town slips in behind him. A third police car comes from a different direction. Two minutes later, I see like five fire trucks.

Turns out there was a fire in the south tower dumpster, the cops were here as the alarm was going off.

I was smelling smoke up on 18th street at 8:30 or 9:00, but it was more like a good wood smoke, not random trash smoke, and that would have been too early anyway.

Well I didn't mean it smelled like barbecue pit smoke, that's kinda what it sounds like. It smelled a lot like it did when that Roach Ass Motel across from Denny's torched in January. Or that night this summer when Tara Day Spa torched. I get freakin' scared in this town now when I smell smoke. What other eyesore am I going to have to look at for the next three months or more? Hopefully my house doesn't go up over Spring Break.

On the bright side, RMU reconnected huddle house. They have power. I saw them out there today cleaning and such. Hopefully they open up soon. Good thing for them it happened at the end of the money making weekend.
