for people leaving tomorrow make sure the road you take is actually open. As of right now the roads i know of that are closed are:
44 at Doolittle (west of here ~5mi) 63 at Gasgonade river(North of here ~15-20mi) Rumor is they might shut down 44 at 141 tomorrow. (that is about 25mi. west of STL)
the MODOT website has a pretty good map that is kept up to date
My mom called me to let me know that Highway 109 will also be closed, which is my alternate way home when I don't take 141. So now it looks like Highway 100 might be the only way to get into St. Louis.
Traffic is going to fucking suck tomorrow. Just do me a favor, if you're taking highway 100 tomorrow around 4:30, at least do the speed limit because I hate passing people on 1 lane in each direction highways
The MODOT website was wrong when I checked versus when I drove it. Don't know if it still is, but basically, they have a detour set up with signs everywhere. Take 63 like normal to 28 east. 28 east goes to 89 north. 89 north will take you to Linn where you catch 50 and take it west back to 63.
If I'm not just loopy/mistaken, it takes about the same amount of time as 63.

Not much longer, but definetly ads some time.
Also, I agree with however posted about doing the speed limit on 100. I always go home that way and 50% of the time I get stuck behind someone who does 40mph through the whole thing and backs up a ton of traffic. I am going to try and leave by noon or 1ish to beat traffic.

I actually turned onto E when I was on 89 and it took me right to Westphalia, which only added like 10 minutes travel time.

As of 3ish am last night E at 89 was impassable.

Glad I'm not the only one who notices it....at first I thought it was just me being a moron and wanting to drive too fast
If anyone sees a white Volkswagen on 100 at around 4:30 this evening, get the fuck out of the way

So, I got info from home which says that all of 63 is closed? Has anyone else heard of this? I need to get to Jeff...I was planning on going 28, 89 and Highway E. Now I'm thinking that's a bad idea. Of course I wasn't planning on leaving till tomorrow, but I also heard it's not going to get any better until Sunday. grrrrrr

No, the same part of 63 is still closed. Taking 28 to 89 up to 50 will work for sure, however, last night around 4AM E was closed.
ok, just checked on modot and the same part of 63 is closed and highway E is closed. The best way I can find is going 19 and hitting 50 to get to Jeff...as of now. 28 and 89 might work...but to be safe and i have a crappy small little dinky car i still think the long way through 19 and 50 would be better. sigh (this blows!)
