a plane is a infinitely thin, sheet. or, according to wiki: "A Plane is a theoretical surface which has infinite width and length, zero thickness, and zero curvature"
therefore, if you had the 3rd coordinate (z) you would have a volume

Ohh ok, i get it know, i was thinking Airplanes move in 3 dimensions, so you would need a volume. As opposed to cars that can only move in two dimensions on their own.
