I have a few Intel and AMD CPUs for RAM or other items. I am looking RAM in the following sizes: SDRAM of 512MB or larger (PC100 or PC133), DDR RAM in 256MB or larger, DDR2 RAM in 512MB or larger. I am also looking for working ATX power supplies, any optical drives that can burn CDs or DVDs, and an AMD socket 939 motherboard.

Intel:
-1.8 and 2.0 GHZ Pentium 4 Mobile with 400MHZ FSB (socket 478)
-1.5, 1.8, and 2.0 GHZ Pentium 4s (400 MHZ FSB socket 478)
-1.7 GHZ Celeron (400MHZ FSB socket 478)

AMD
-AMD Athlon XP 2000+ and 2200+ in socket 462 (the 2200+ may be a mobile processor but I need to lookup the numbers and see).

Did you NOT read you last thread about these? Those are NOT Pentium 4 Mobile Processors. Those are Pentium 4-M Mobile processors, and are not compatible with the same boards. Please do some research, read your old threads (especially if they are about the same things), and fix your errors.

I think 512MB is the highest size they make 168pin SDRAM (PC 100/133), and you're pretty unlikely to find any of those here.

For what its worth though, I've got some smaller PC 100 (128MB & 64MB) that I'm willing to sell if you're interested.

How much you want for the Athlon 2200+?

Edit: If its not mobile. If the 2200+ is mobile, How much for the 2000+? Actually, how much for both? :P

The 1.8 and 2.0 GHZ Mobile Pentium 4 CPUs are in fact a socket 478 design much like the Pentium 4. These are Northwood CPUs, not the Pentium M design that followed and used a different socket. I have personally used these chips in MANY desktop boards and here is what I found.

For more informatiom, see http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium_4 ... 204-M.html and http://dashwood.me.uk/intel-mobile-pent ... xploration

Here are the main differences that might cause a problem if using this in a desktop.
1. These don't have an integrated heat spreader and a shim may need to be manufactured to get these to work with a desktop heatsink. I have made shims in the past by flattening a section of standard household copper water piping and they work great, provided the second condition is met.
2. These require a motherboard supporting Intel SpeedStep, otherwise they will default to 1.2 GHZ. If you can adjust your FSB, you will have a GREAT overclocker with one of these. These are lower power units and essentially came from the "cream of the crop" silicon wafers.

There is also a 533MHZ FSB version that will run at 1.6 GHZ if you don't have speedstep (See "next generation" on the link above). These are also great overclockers as they were based in the Northwood 800MHZ FSB models and can be run up higher without problems. I have also run across these from dead laptops and they do work in normal desktop boards and have the integrated heatspreader.

Yes, they did make PC133 1GB SDRAM memory modules, although they were rare and expensive (still are). See http://www.memoryx.net/gn1.html
