OK I have a dell Lattitude CPx from 2001 that has 2 battery modules and no CD bay module anymore because I thought I was never going to have to format it again. Does anyone have one of these old laptops CD drives I can borrow long enough to put vector linux light back on it?

A cd drive from any of the older black dell laptops with the curvy front modular multi-bays will work (That covers a good 5-7 years of manufacture dates.)

Code:
Compatible with DELL Notebook Systems:

Latitude CP, CPi, CPt, CPx, CPla, CPT, CS, C400, C500, C510, C600, C610, C640, C800, C810, C840, LS, LT, L400, V700, V710, V740, X200
Inspiron 2100, 2500, 3700, 3800, 4000, 4100, 4150, 8000, 8100, 8200

I found a floppy drive that will fit, but fuck...

I will buy you taco bell or something

I gutted a Dell Latitude a while back, and still have the drive in good working order. I do not recall the model of the Latitude, but it's worth a shot.

Taco Bell is teh sex man. I demand Chalupas. If the drive isn't compatible, I'll pay my ticket.

A few years ago I inherited a cadaverous Lattitude CPi or some such, with a front-load CD module (Dell p/n 5044D A02). If it'll work for you, you can have it.

Unfortunately, I'm probably the only college student in America what can't stand Taco Bell. You may have to eat it yourself.
