does anybody know if there is any consistent poker game in need of another player? if not, i was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a weekly no limit poker tournament somewhere on or off campus. if enough people (8 or more) reply we can get a pretty decent game going. we can work out the details if anything pans out. i got chips and cards all i need is some people. if you're interested just post a reply saying so and we'll see what happens.

I would definitely be up for that. Just so you know, All-Stars has a 25 dollar entry no limit hold em tournament every Sunday at 2pm.

What kind of buy in would we be talking for this game?

we can make the buy-in whatever. i was thinking like $5-$25. is all stars tournament any good. i mean do a lot of pepole go play?

I've only gone once (been out of town a lot on the weekend lately) and the tournament had about 34 people in it.

I had a Fantasy Football draft that Sunday I went to play at 7PM so I thought I would be safe and be done by 7PM since it started at 2PM. Well, 6:15PM rolls around and it's still going on and I am one of only 8 people left. I wasn't short stacked, but was about middle of the pack...since I had first pick in my draft I was getting worried. I got dealt pocket 9's and decided I was either going to double up and forget the FF draft or go home and make it on time, so I pushed all-in. One caller with an AK. My 9's were good til the river and bam! there is a King. I had getting beat on the river, it can drive a person to murder.

Anyhow, it wasn't too bad...me and my buddy that went were the only 2 college kids, the rest were either townies or townie old-timers.

We play a small game over here about once or twice a week. Normally we play for $3 so that everyone can afford to play all semister. We have between 5 and 12 players each night.

I would love to host or play in a bigger tournament (more people and bigger buy-in) if there is intrest.

We could play tomorrow enough people want to.

alright, i'll play a house tourney tomorrow, but we should organize a larger one for further on down the road. also, i'll probly be at all-stars sunday if ne1 is interested(even though it is NFL kickoff weekend).

We're going to play a $5 tournament at 7:00. If anyone else wants directions PM me.

I'm going to start a $5 no-limit hold-em game and also a min $5 dealer's choice game at my house. We just built a poker table and it needs some breaking in.
