Maybe this is the wrong forum for this... but I'm new around here and looking for people who play instruments to jam with... I'm a guitarist, so it would be cool to find people who play bass or drums... but yeah - i'm really bored so if anyone wants to jam, just reply or something. In case anyone is actually interested, I play classic rock, alt metal, acid rock,... well mostly a lot of different rock and metal. also blues is fun...

i've also played sax (alongside cpt. cadaver!) and the sound of a sax and guitar is pretty neat. it would be better if it were a tenor but might as well experiment. when i see sax and guitar, i'm thinking ska or acid jazz. either way it's cool 8)

oh also - if either of you... or anyone else for that matter is good at improvising and or music theory and feel like helping me a bit it would be cool. i can play pretty well i guess, and i know a fair amount... but not enough to write a full song that goes somewhere or be very confident improvising over a song!! so help would be great. thanks

Heh, who are you sax players? I've been playing for 8 years, and I've been looking for some people to kick my ass in improvisation. I play a lot of jazz btw, so if either of you two are interested, I can give you a time when the jazz combo I'm in meets.

gibsonlpsl, I'm pretty good at theory, although I haven't taken the theory classes here or anything. Basically I just know a lot about chordal progression and modes of the major scale, so I can try to help if you want.

hey, i play drums, i dont have them up here, cause there is no place to safely keep them. I've got a band back home (30mi away) so maybe i could get our bassist to come up and jam with ya some weekend - i'm always ready to go a-jammin.

Captain Cadaver and I were in band together and both played alto. I played for about 7 years but had to stop. i dont have any time to play here. I wasnt great at improv but there's a guy back at our school that would blow anyone away. he's a bit wierd but can produce a near professional quality sound. with a little practice i could play what you set in front of me and that's about it. but i do miss it a lot. i need to go home and knock the dust off my sax and just fart around for a bit. i'll probably sound like a 6th grader playing for the first time :? .
