If you've not seen the new movie from Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the South Park creators, for those of you living under a rock), you should go to the theater, drop your 7 bucks, and prepare for an hour and a half of laughing your ass off. Those two guys have seriously outdone themselves. And then when you're done watching that movie, go down to Sony or iTunes, and buy the soundtrack. I know it's like 10 bucks, but it's worth it. These folks have created something that's definitely worth paying for. And like the horribly over-twanged country music dude says, "If you don't throw in your buck-oh-five, who will?"
Yesterday, me and my girlfriend drove around all day blasting track 3, "America! FUCK YEAH!" out our windows. We scared these frigid old folks and probably just about had the cops called on us, but we were having so much fun it wouldn't have mattered. And Kim Jong Il's song is a fucking riot. He's got this Elmer Fudd thing going on that made me roll on the floorboard. Thank God for cruise control. Anyways, you gotta see it. If you don't I'll send Maddox after you to kick your ass!

I'll second that...
One hour and forty five minutes of pure entertainment.

WTF are you guys smoking? That movie was absolute crap. The last 30 minutes or so were absolutely hilarious, but the rest of the movie was a slow, agonizing torture.

I say DON'T drop your money on it in the theatre, if you really wanna see it wait 'til it comes out for rent and get 6 people together so it only costs $0.50 a piece.

Justin

don't you mean "heAr"?

that movie was really fucking genious. "everybody has AIDS!"

it was pretty hysterical just by the fact that they were fucking PUPPETS. the kung foo fighting scene in the very beginning was great.

also, the remix of "sports training montage" from the asspen episode of south park was great

And if you're basing the quality of this movie off of the previews, you don't deserve to watch it.

What makes this movie funny as hell is the policital satirical humor that can't even begin to be covered in a one-minute tv commercial.

I found the funniest parts to be music-related. I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but the composer had a great sense of humor with the timing of the musical pieces.

The point of the preview is to make the movie seem as appealing as possible in that one minute. Alot of times movies use deleted scenes or doctored situations in previews specifically to get people out to see the movie. If the preview makes you want to not see the movie, that is typically a very BAD sign (a good indication the movie is crap)

i was entertained. i got my monies worth. beyond that who the fuck really cares. and if you were bored, then you must have been masturbating(of which i wouldn't put past some of the people who go to this school), cause you weren't watchin the movie. sure it wasn't thought provoking or award winning, but it was fucking funny.

Unfortunately, it's very hard to sum up Team America in one minute or less. Previews in general try to emphasize the quick easy humor that works in a short timeframe. But the beauty of Team America is its long, calculated humor - like the soundtrack. And even subtle jokes that you might not even pick up the first time.
I mean, how many times did the American Wedding previews use the dog-raping scene? I'm not saying that's such a great movie, but the dog scene is hardly the highlight of the movie.
My point is that time constraints on the previews usually keep out all of the good stuff. What you're left with is toilet humor and slapstick comedy which is not what Team Ameria is entirely about. In my opinion, the best way to determine a movie's worth is ask someone who watched it.

So, let's hear from all the people out there that watched Team America and hated it.
