I'm looking around for a good printer.. I don't need anything really fancy.. bt would like to run it off my debian/mandrake boxes...
any linux users out there wanna share they're favorite printers? (the names of which, anyway) :)

Conversely, check the Linux Incompatibility Database for printers you should definitely avoid. Of course, this won't tell you to what degree your printer will work with Linux, but it's handy to bookmark and use when evaluating other hardware decisions. Use gil's pointer to Linux Printing to compare workable featuresets.

Works great, scanning and printing. HP has good driver support in linux. To set up scanning and printin both however, you may need to know a little about linux, but there is sufficient help files out there to do it. Printing alone (w/o the scanning) is easier to set up than in winblows. If you get one and need any help, p.m. me.
