Ok, I'm looking to upgrade to a 64bit system but I do not want to buy a new power supply with the mobo and proc. I'm looking at an MSI K8N Neo2 mobo and a Athlon64 3200+ socket 939. Currently I have a Vantec Stealth 420 Watt PS in my AthlonXP system. I don't think I'd have an overall power supply issue, but from what I've been reading, some people are recommending a 12v rail that supplies at least 20 amps. My vantec is 18A Max and Peak of 23A on the 12V rail. To some of you guys who have a 64 bit system, what are your thoughts?

Using a 430 W on mine with 3 HDs and 2 CD-roms and it's fine.

Yeah, but what's the amperage on the 12V rail? That's what i've been reading issues with.

F.I.B. thats the 2 main parts I'm looking at buying sometime in jan. Tell me how things go for you once you get it all set up. I've read people getting a 600mhz o/c on air with the 3200.

If you can PM me if you happen to remember once you are set up I'd appreciate it.

Eric

If you're looking to buy a cheap one to OC, from what I've read, your best bet is the 3000. From a few sites I looked at, they clocked that one up to 3500 speeds quite easily.
