Is it possible to have 2 partitions, each with a different OS, and then being able to choose from which one you want to boot?

It's possible, yes.

Haven't done it with Linux, so I'll let a multi-OS guru tell you all about it.

make two partitions first. Install winblows on one. after installing windows, install linux on the other--you will have to partion it in a swap and / but the linux installer should do that for you. Install grub or lilo to the MBR. when you boot, it'll ask you if you want linux or windows. i suggest never choosing windows or better yet, just installing linux only!

The order of installing Windows before Linux will make your life easier. Windows generally likes to take control of the boot records and boot manager. Installing Linux after windows allows you to configure a bootloader friendly for both.

right click my computer-->Properties-->Advanced-->startup and recovery "settings"--> Click edit, then add your own line like the other one(s) listed just specify which drive and partition its on.

or just edit the boot.ini (same thing)

how do i partition with the windows 2003 cause it only lets me do 1 partition or the whole disk, doesnt let me choose the size of the partition.

I dont really trust winblows to do partitioning for me, so when I install, I load up my slackware cd, and partition using CFDISK, and then I install windows on the ntfs partition I made, and then install linux on the other partitions
