Here is the problem. Me and my friend live in seperate house off campus, but whenever one of us trying to log in the same server, and whoever playing in that server will be kicked out and said "CONNECTION PROBLEM" on the top right hand corner. This might be confusing but basically I was saying is two of us could not play in the same server at the same time.

Both of us are using cable internet by fidelity.

Any idea? Anyone could help?

PLS

so let me get this straight...
2 seperate cable connections (i.e. 2 seperate ips)
2 seperate steam accounts
1 cs source server

?? That is extremely strange, have you tried changing your client port? I dont remember the launch option to change it, but I bet if you snooped around on the http://www.steampowered.com forums you might find something.
