Can anyone tell me how "cyber-crime" is any different from plain-old regular crime? Same for "cyber-terror".

It uses the intra web.

Some things I thought funny:
"and other malicious code written by teenagers"... as if all malicious code is written by teenagers...

"people abandoning using their computers because it's just too much trouble"... yeah, they're called the "elderly".

....so little Billy downloading a Metallica album must be a bigger crime than a guy who raped 20 women then murdered them. :roll:

So call it piracy or copyright violation and treat it as such.

No... it just uses the web, I wasn't kidding... if a terrorist bombs a factory, it's a bombing, on the web, they (would) use viruses to take down our infrastructure. If someone actually managed to take down the web, we would be in a huge panic.

cybercrime: Crime committed using a computer and the internet.
<br>

There are so many different cybercrimes that can be commited it boogles the mind. Most common are Fraud or Tampering (damaging/disrupting computer operations). Copyright violations are common too, but not as serious.

You must have meant copyright violations are much MORE common, but not as serious.
