In terms of filesize, any idea what a "block" is equivalent to? I was going to download some new content from Xbox Live, but I don't want my connection to be slowed to a crawl for downloading a few new maps.
I dont know how big a block is, but all i ever see is 50000+ blocks used, 50000+ blocks free.
lets just say, that your xbox can hold a WHOLE LOTTA SHIT!!
i have over 140,000 blocks used (mostly because of KOTOR, Morrowind, and KOTOR2) I actually save every gamesave in a different slot.
downloading extra maps will not slow you down.

he's more worried about downloading to much and sending him over his quota.
thats not even an issue though, xbox bandwith usage is quite low comparative to downloading off a computer

Well, actually not really. Xbox live bandwidth usage is really high compared to many other online games. Content downloads are relativily light downloads, but the actual playing of the games eats bandwidth.
I talked to the director of IT today and he said that the quotas have not been implimented yet. They will communicate that before it takes affect. Right now it's manual banning if they see you download a HUGE amount more than the norm. I'm talking about 10 gigs a day or something extreme like that over internet.
